Striving for excellence
“If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up the people to gather wood, divide the work, and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea” – Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
FREESPONSIBILITY
At Graffiti Studio, we provide employees with freedom how to go about a goal, in exchange for responsibility. We call this empowerment approach “freesponsibility”.
To us, freedom and rapid recovery are better than constantly trying to prevent error. We are in a creative industry, and our biggest threat over time is a lack of innovation. So we are relatively error tolerant, except where safety is concerned, and we ensure that any error prevention efforts don’t limit inventive, creative work.
Some people ignore trash on the floor, leaving it for someone else to pick up. Other people lean down to pick it up, just like they would at home. We try hard to be a company where everyone feels a sense of responsibility. Picking up the trash is a metaphor for taking care of problems, small and large, and never thinking “that’s someone else’s job” and “this is not my problem”.

A TEAM, NOT A FAMILY
At Graffiti Studio, we set high goals and hold each other accountable for our individual contributions and overall success. That’s why we are more like a sports team, rather than a family. Families are about relationships and unconditional love, while teams are about performance, caring for your team, and being the greatest teammate you can be for your colleagues. And that’s how we keep winning championships in our industry – empowering local audiences to enjoy content in their native language.
For the last 3 decades, we have been building a dream team of talented, ambitious, curious, responsible, and ethical professionals. We provide opportunities to many but retain only highly efficient people that we pay at the top of their personal market for their occupied position.
Dream teams are not right for everyone. Some people prefer job security and stability, over potential and growth. You can have one or the other, but you can’t have both. Our culture works best for people who trust their own skills to grow as much as their talent allows them.

HONEST FEEDBACK
At Graffiti Studio, direct and constructive feedback is not just a random event but a part of everyday company life. Feedback relies on trust and positive intent, which is why we invest time in developing professional relationships.
Meaningful feedback can be hard to give or to receive. But like just any new habit, it gets easier with practice.
We know that this level of candor can be especially challenging for new hires. But it is an important part of getting better, as individuals and as a company, because feedback fuels and helps us improve our dream team.
